why Waseem for mayor

Serving the people of Chowchilla has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Since first being elected to the City Council in 2014, I have had the privilege of serving as Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and representing our community on regional boards and commissions. Those experiences have prepared me to lead our city with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to getting things done.

I am running for Mayor because I believe Chowchilla deserves experienced leadership that listens, brings people together, and follows through on its commitments. My priority is to keep our community safe, protect taxpayer dollars, improve our infrastructure, support responsible economic growth, and ensure every neighborhood has a voice at City Hall.

I am proud to have earned the endorsement of Madera County District Attorney Sally Moreno and the Chowchilla City Police Officers’ Association, recognizing my longstanding commitment to public safety and responsible leadership.

Chowchilla has a proud history, a strong sense of community, and an even brighter future. Together, we can build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous city while preserving the values that make Chowchilla such a special place to call home.
